10 HEALTHY RESOLUTIONS FOR 2010

The holidays have come and gone, with the parties, delectable treats, and all too often, overeating. However, each new year brings new possibilities for change and growth. If your weight management plan needs sprucing up, now is the perfect time to dig in and make healthy resolutions for a healthy you in 2010.

1. Make A Healthy Weight Management Plan And Stick To It.

We all have good intentions every year to maintain a healthy weight and feel great. The key is sticking to the plan you’ve created. Be specific about what you want to accomplish. Instead of “exercise a lot,” write down how much, how of often, and what types of exercise you’ll do.

2. Cleanse and Detoxify.

Be sure first to cleanse and detoxify your gastrointestinal system, so you get the most out of your food and supplements.

3. Get Plenty of Rest.

The best of healthy intentions can be delayed by a lack of sleep. When you’re tired, it is a lot more difficult to get out of bed for that morning workout and eat who grain toast and yogurt instead of a donut. Get the rest your body needs so you can make the best decisions for your health.

4. Eat A Healthy Diet.

Support your health through a diet rich in whole grains, complex carbohydrates and lean proteins. Also make sure that limit the amount of sodas and fruit drinks in your diet. Drink plenty of water instead.

5. Exercise Regularly.

Regular exercise does not have to mean jogging five miles every day. Especially when you are just starting out, a brisk walk around your neighborhood for 20 minutes four times a week is a great way to start. Be sure to incorporate light weight training as well to support the strength of your muscles.

6. Support Your Immune System.

When your immune system is in the best shape possible, the rest of your body can function as it should. Support your healthy immune system with the correct Transferceutical products.

7. Include Antioxidants In Your Diet.

Study after study touts the benefits of antioxidants for overall health. Fruits, vegetables, and even pine bark are great sources of antioxidants.

8. Develop A Great Support Network.

It is always easier to stay on track when you have people supporting you. Talk with your spouse to make sure the cupboards are filled with healthy snacks, instead of junk. Walk everyday with your neighbor. Make sure you have the support you need to be successful with your healthy resolutions.

9. Seek Balance.

Stress, while a natural part of life, can often become overwhelming if not handled properly. Set in place good techniques that will help you find balance in your life. Relax on a regular basis by reading a good book, listening to music, or even meditating.

10. Have Healthy Expectations.

Setting realistic expectations for yourself is just as important-if not more important-than the resolutions themselves. Deciding that you are going to run three miles every day (when you have trouble walking around the block) is neither realistic nor healthy. Starting out slow and steady, while staying committed to your resolutions, is the best way to achieve overall success.

Maintaining a healthy weight takes commitment and hard work. But it’s worth it so you can enjoy life with health and vitality for years to come.

Here is wishing all of my friends a healthy you in 2010.

How Does 4 Life Transfer Factor Give Everyone A Proactive Strategy To Support Good Health?

It's time to rethink the approach to protecting our health and wellness. The world is facing several major health crises. Every year, new devastating diseases appear and the medical community cannot respond fast enough. What's more, scientists tell us the race to develop newer and better drugs and antibiotics is not a race we are going to win.

A New Approach

Given these challenges, we must rethink our approach. Medicine is generally a reactionary science. In one respect this is wonderful. If we are hurt badly we despearately want the medical team in the ER to react...and react well. But, with lasting or chronic disease threats, the reactionary mode is less than a perfect solution. More often than not, drugs are used to treat symptoms, and not the origins or causes of disease.

The first step is clear. After years of research and study in the field of immunology, I am convinced that strengthening the body's immune system must be our first and overriding goal to proactively support the health of our bodies. Few of us realize how many invasions our immune systems repel each day. From the common cold to cancer, the immune system plays a vital role in preventing or reversing nearly every minor and major health problem. There is no doubt that immune system support will be a key component of effective medicine in the next century of science.

Fundamental problems arise from fundamental assumptions:

We have some fundamental assumptions about our health that often blind us. It is easy to assume that our health is perfect because we don't feel ill. This is like driving a care that is low on oil and waiting until the engine begins to dry out, make horrendous noises, and seize. A bit absurd right?

All too often, we do the same to our bodies. We go along eating whatever we choose whenever we want it.

Exercise is a great idea...one we'll start. oh next week . We feel pretty good. Then one day, yuck, ouch, darn, we feel like we've been hit by a raging bull. Better call the doctor.

I call this the "Plumbing Model" of Medicine. We wait until our health starts "leaking" and then expect the physician to prescribe that perfect little pill to make it all better. Later we return to the doctor's office for another try. Seeking out one specialist after another to no avail is a situation almost all of us are familiar with, either personally or from watching someone else go through the experience. Make no mistake, Western Medicine has its vast strengths. It simply can't keep up with the long-term chronic "life style" challenges we continue to put before it.

A Healthy Opportunity:

What does this all mean to those who see themselves as the picture of health? The wellness window of opportunity is one that could close at any time.

We are healthy mainly because of the vigor of our immune system. Instead of taking health for granted, we can bolster and insure vigourous healthy by supporting it with transfer factors and other nutrients that support optimal immune system function.

The Secret To A Healthy Immune System

This time of year is notorious for getting colds and flu. Learn how to protect yourself and get through this season without being sick.

Discover How To Live Up To 120 Years Old In Total Health & Fitness Even If You Have Always Been Sick And Tired...The Secret To A Healthy Immune System That Will Rid You Of Many Health Challenges And Keeps You Young & Healthy...Naturally

Regardless of whether you are sick or healthy at the moment, this web site will provide you with the information that will have a life transforming effect on you, your family and those around you.

Many people say that staying health is expensive. I suggest that they try "SICKNESS". Health is our greatest gift and what keeps us away from DEATH is our own Immune SYSTEM.

The problem is that many people have abused their body and immune system. Previously we do not hear of much deadly diseases such as AIDS and Avian Flu and H1N1, However, with the stressed life style, bad eating habits and environmental pollutions today, many people are struggling to have a healthy and normal life style. Many are obese and sick!

Previously you do not hear of teenagers and babies having heart disease or cancer. Today there are many instances of young children dying from these health conditions. This is what is happening every where in the world today.

So what is the solution?

Let us take a look at the Health & Wellness Timeline...

In the 1970s we talk about Vitamins.

In the 1980s it was the time of the Herbal revolution.

In the 1990s people talked about Anti Oxidant and Phyto-Nutrients.

The year 2000 and beyond - More than 50% of Bio Tech companies are investing on products for the Immune System. In short scientist and the medical professions realize the importance of our own Immune System in fighting against diseases.

A person can ingest a few spores of Anthrax and die, whereas another person could have ingested thousands of the Anthrax spores and still survives. Why is this so? It is obvious that the one who survives have a strong immune system.

The truth is that our immune system is our best line of defense against bacteria, viruses, parasites, and other pathogens. So we should educate and strengthen our immune system if we wish to remain healthy.

This is where Transfer Factor comes into the picture.

Superior Immune System Support

Your immune system is the most important mechanism you have within your body that is always working for you. The minute your immune system is compromised, you become ill.

Imagine yourself, at your job, the minute you slack off and your boss see's that you are, you have to defend yourself, otherwise you lose your job. It is the same with your immune system, the minute it slows down and you cannot defend yourself anymore, it is imperative that you do what you can to build your defenses up again.

Inside your body there is an amazing protection mechanism called the immune system. It is designed to defend you against outside invaders that can compromise your health. Knowing this, it’s easy to see why maintaining a healthy immune system means living a healthier life. Understanding the function of the immune system helps us appreciate the value in maintaining its healthy function.

4Life Transfer Factor Plus Tri-Factor Formula delivers powerful support to help you achieve a strong and healthy immune system that knows exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to get it done quickly. It combines the information of 4Life Transfer Factor E-XF™, the modulation of NanoFactor™, and the power of 4Life’s proprietary Cordyvant™ blend to regulate, boost, and balance your immune system. Scientific studies report that this Plus Formula can boost immune cell responsiveness 437 percent above normal immune system response.

Test results obtained from two independent NK cell studies. Original testing using 4Life Transfer Factor Classic bovine formula utilized a 4 hour activation time. Secondary blind study test results, conducted by Dr. Anatoli Varobiev, head of Immunology at the Russian Academy of Medical Science, used 4Life Transfer Factor Advanced formula (Transfer Factor E-XF proprietary blend of both cow colestrums and egg yolk sources) and a 48-hour activation time. Comparison of activation times demonstrated that the longer activation time (48 hours) using the 4Life Classic and Advanced Formulas promoted a significantly greater percentage increase of NK cell response. Samples were tested for maximum time of effectiveness.

Do You Know Your Best Flu Defense?

Today it seems you turn on the TV and all you hear on the news is about H1N1. Anybody interested in learning what you can do to avoid the flu, please read this current blog, written by a doctor who is very knowledgeable when it comes to providing your body what it needs to overcome disease. Dr. Williams is known all over the world for information he gathers by traveling all over the world to bring us new and innovative material to keep us well.

Fall is here, and winter is just around the corner…again. Football, frost, and, more recently, flu shots are just a few of the things associated with this time of year. The first two are inevitable. The third is a matter of choice, which has been popularized more by marketing and propaganda than by effectiveness. Another recent study bears this out.

During the last two decades the flu vaccination rate among the elderly has increased from 15 to 65 percent, but there hasn’t been a corresponding decrease in hospital admissions or mortality.

A Canadian study involved 352 individuals given the flu vaccine and 352 matched control individuals who didn’t get the shot. Eighty-five percent of the participants were over age 64. Overall, 29 percent of these individuals came down with severe pneumonia, and 12 percent of the group died. At first glance, it appeared that the flu vaccination reduced the mortality rate by about 50 percent. Only 8 percent of those receiving the vaccine died, compared to 15 percent of those not receiving the shot. Most other studies come to a similar conclusion and report findings like these as a matter of fact—but this study went a little further.

The researchers in this study not only adjusted for factors such as age, gender, and co-existing illnesses, they also took into account what they refer to as the “healthy-user effect.” This is one very important factor that hasn’t been considered in the earlier studies.

Dr. Sumit Majumdar, the lead researcher, explains the healthy-user effect describes what most doctors refer to as their “good” patients. These are the ones who take a serious approach to their health by exercising regularly, not smoking, drinking in moderation, taking supplements or necessary medications, et cetera. When you include this factor into the evaluation, taking the flu vaccine didn’t have any significant effect on mortality. In other words, if someone is otherwise healthy they probably have a better chance of surviving a serious flu infection than someone who is already frail and in ill heath. The flu vaccine doesn’t change the mortality rate in either the already-healthy group or the already-ill group.

Despite the overwhelming evidence that the flu vaccination program offers no benefit, I’m sure it will go on and on like most government-sponsored efforts. Most of the public, and health professionals alike, have been brainwashed into believing it’s saving lives. Personally, I would suggest spending your money and efforts on making sure you’re keeping your immune system in shape so you don’t get sick in the first place. Regular and adequate exercise and rest, a good diet, and clean water are an essential start to staying well. So is a sound daily supplement program. There are some key supplements, in addition to a daily multivitamin-mineral supplement, that can ensure your immune system stays strong and healthy. I recommend taking the following on a daily basis:

  • Vitamin D. Make sure you get vitamin D through sunshine or supplements. However, hardly anyone is making enough vitamin D from sunshine exposure during this time of year, so everyone should be supplementing their diet with 2,000 to 4,000 IU of vitamin D daily.

  • Vitamin C. Even without signs of a flu or cold, I take 2,000 mg of vitamin C each day.

Flu Season is Here

Eating for A's

This is a must read for anyone with children and I wanted to share it with you.
http://annlouise.com/

BREAKFAST FOR CHAMPIONS:

Three quarters of American children decide what - if anything-
they'll eat every morning. That is a problem. "Even nutritional
deficiencies of a relatively short-term nature will influence
children's behavior, ability to concentrate, and to perform
complex tasks,". Tufts University researchers find.

Starting the day with something as easy as a cereal bar can improve
memory, mood, and recall, another study shows.

Research among junior-high girls find that those who got iron and
vitamin B-3 (Niacin) at breakfast had better memory scores.
And vitamin B-12 intake was linked to better grades at school.

There's more: Eating breakfast also means kids are less likely to
be overweight. Consider the dramatic rise in type 2 diabetes. Any
American born from 2000 on has a one-in-three chance of developing
what was only a few years ago known as adult-onset diabetes.

Starting the day off right with a good breakfast has been linked to a
healthy body mass index (BMI). With one-third of today's children
either overweight or fast becoming overweight, that is important
since packing on the pounds leads to type 2 diabetes. For young
people with a family history of diabetes, a healthy breakfast stalls
surges in blood sugar. Recent Swedish research finds that whole-
grain breakfast cereal helps balance blood sugar throughout the
day.

Boys who eat cereal for breakfast have lower total and LDL(bad)
cholesterol levels, as well as a lover BMI. And college women who skip
breakfast experience irregular periods and menstrual problems.

Here is Dr. Ann Louise's Take:

Parents need to talk with their kids about the importance of good
nutrition. It's essential for children to understand why they need
a good breakfast-and to have plenty of healthy foods from which
to choose.

With today's hectic lifestyle, it is critical to have a comprehensive
plan in place with a detailed shopping list of healthy foods your
kids will actually eat. Navigating through the thousands of
products on store shelves can be a daunting task, but a few
simple tips can help:

1. Buy fiber rich cereals with no added sugar and provide fruit,
(bananas, berries, sliced peaches) and flax seeds or nuts to
toss on top.

2. Read labels: 4 grams of sugar=1 teaspoon. (The American Heart
Association recommends no more than 6 teaspoons of added sugar
a day. I think 2 teaspoons is plenty!)

3. Keep almond, rice, or soy milk on hand to add to cereal or as boxed
drinks for kids' lunches.

4. Hard boil free-range eggs for breakfast and healthy snacks.

5. Whip up smoothies with protein powder, fresh, or frozen fruit,
and yogurt with live, active cultures.

6. Keep energy bars that are low in sugar and high in fiber on hand.
Some brands are beginning to add essential fatty acids.

7. Not every child likes standard breakfast foods. If yours doesn't,
offer him soup or a sandwich with whole-grain bread instead.

Making time to buy and prepare quality foods does take effort- at
least initially. But the payoff is enormous.

Well-nourished children have more robust immune systems. Their
concentration is sharper and they head to school ready to learn. Kids'
moods remain more stable-something parents of teens can especially
appreciate. And children are less likely to have problems with
constipation.

As parents, you put great effort into raising healthy children. When
you make healthy eating a priority, those efforts pay off by giving your
kids important ingredients for success!

have transformed many people's lives.

Transfer Factors and Immunity

I was speaking to a good friend just the other day, and she told me that she started taking Transfer Factor during her pregancy, and neither she or her newborn daughter have been sick since she gave birth. She is very confident that her immune system is strong enough that her body can over come the N1H1 virus this coming fall.

Here is an overview about Transfer Factor and why it is so powerful.

Immune System Basic:

Your immune system has three primary functions: first to recognize bodily
intruders, second to wage an effective attack, and third to remember
invaders when they return.

Although this may not be "news", what hasn't been widely reported is that
a molecule called transfer factor (TF) is responsible for storing the
information our immune system uses to perform these functions.

"Transfer Factor= Immune System "Intelligence":

Transfer Factor isn't a vitamin, mineral, or herb, but a molecule that forms
the core of your immune system's intelligence network by storing information
about previous immune system encounters with bacteria, viruses and the
like.

However, studies indicate that transfer factor does much more than simply
"remember" our immune system experiences. It also provides stategic
information about how to best handle the pathogens we encounter by
stimulating NK (natural killer) cell activity.

Similar to the genetic code stored in the DNA molecule, the transfer factor
molecule provides your immune system with the information it needs to:

1. Identify a problem,
2. Balance your body's response, and
3. Accelerate positive immune functioning.

Oral Consumption: Delivery

Transfer factor science has come a long way since its intravenous beginning.
In the 1980's it was discovered that transfer factor is orally transmissible,
which makes sense because it's passed from mother to child through
colostrum, mother's first milk. A wide range of studies conducted over
the past two decades now underscore the efficacy of orally consumed
transfer factor.

Please listen to an audio giving a testimonial on TF and her children HERE:http://video.yahoo.com/watch/4348217/11675275
