Low Cost Lead Generation and Social Networking:

Facebook: A Popular Social Networking Website:

Individuals, of all different ages, enjoy meeting and communicating with other internet marketing users. Despite the fact that individuals of all ages use the internet to socialize, there are certain groups of individuals that do more than others. Those groups of individuals include students, both high school students and college students. For that reason, it is only fitting that there should be a social networking website that has a focus on these particular individuals. That networking website is known as Facebook.

Facebook may not be as well known as other popular social networking websites, such as Twitter or MySpace, but it is still popular. That popularity is among high school students and college students, mostly because Facebook focuses on these individuals in particular. With Facebook, you are required to register for a specific network. That network can either include the high school or college which you attended or are currently attending. Once you have joined the website, you should easily be able to make contact with others who are in the same network.

The network in which you join can be considered an advantage of Facebook, as well as a disadvantage. See, Facebook does not work like most other social networking websites. Instead of being able to communicate with all site members, you are limited to contact with those that are in your particular network, the high school or college you that selected. The creators of Facebook state that this is for your own safety. Although it is safer for your profile and personal information to be viewed by a small number of individuals, you may not necessity want it to be that way.

Although a large amount of focus is placed on high school students and college students, Facebook has added another popular feature to their website. That feature is workplace networks. By joining a specific workplace network, you will be granted access to other community members who work for the same company as you. This feature is nice, especially since many MLM network marketing companies have become large businesses or have expanded across the country. You may be able to make contact and become friends with a long-distance co-worker that you never knew you had.

Another aspect of Facebook that you may find inconvenient is their lack of available information, before you decide to become a community member. When viewing their online website, which can be found at www.facebook.com, it is hard to tell whether or not the site is free to use. Most online social networking sites will make this known right upfront, but Facebook does not. Aside from the price, you should easily be able to obtain additional information on Facebook, before making the decision to become a member. This additional information may include how Facebook works, why you should become a member, how the invite process works, and general rules and restrictions that are in place.

If you are interested in joining the Facebook community, you should do your research as with all other social networking websites. By taking the time to research and examine everything that Facebook has to offer, you should be able to decide whether or not this popular networking community is what you were looking for. There is a good chance that it will be, but if not, do not worry. There are literally an unlimited number of other social networking websites that you can join.

Even if a complex system achieved great results for you, others will find it difficult to copy. In networking MLM, personal success is not your greatest asset.

Your greatest asset is having a system that guarantees the success of everyone using it. The success of others, and your success, is dependant upon their ability to do the same things you do. Keep the least experienced of those in your network in mind when you set up a system of doing things for your organization to follow.

Low Cost Lead Generation Can Provide you a Successful Home Based Business:

Start Your Own Home Based MLM Business:

A good MLM business opportunity is to work from home. Working at home can give the freedom you want and the income that you deserve. This way, you can be there for your children, cook dinner, and still get in a few hours of work before bed. A work at home MLM business opportunity can be very attractive but you must be careful to select one that works for you.

Technology has improved customer service, and relationships with MLM business workers and commissions can be utilized in ways not possible before.

All of this started in the 1950's with nutritional supplements, household products, and cosmetics. It can be noted that MLM opportunities boomed in the 1980's with insurance and long-distance telephone services. As the twenty-first century approached, improvements in technology really helped the MLM network marketing industry.

The MLM network marketing industry has expanded into credit cards, travel, and pre-paid legal services aready. MLM business opportunities can adapt as technology evolves.

The combination of technology and old-fashioned salesmanship makes the MLM network market popular for everyone including those in the business world. You can earn money from the down line of your recruits' sales and their recruits' sales and so on.

There is no overhead if you work at home, and advertising can be based on word of mouth. There is also no inventory, no collections, and no receivables. You do not have to see the customer, and the product is shipped to them. MLM business has acquired a bad reputation through media reports, but many companies including mainstream ones do it legally and successfully.

Take note:

When selecting a MLM business opportunity for your own, look for one that has been in the business for a number of years. Take note that many scams are often fly-by-night operations.

But this does not mean that you have to avoid younger companies. Look carefully before you take a leap of faith. Make sure that they have a good training program in place, a fair compensation plan worked out and products that have already been tested for quite some time.

A home-based MLM opportunity has three qualities; control of time and money, continual salary, and steady growth that multiplies. By trying to control your time, you can reap from your efforts.

When comparing MLM opportunities, think of yourself first. Choose a business that fits your interests and talents. Do not think you can be molded to fit others. Examine what you want and the one that is fitting to your knowledge and background. Many times your life experiences can add greatly to a company’s offerings to create a perfect blend. Take time to select the MLM opportunity that is right for you.

Many who become involved in a MLM business start out on a part time basis. This is a wise advice for everyone considering the opportunity to get into self-employment.

Keeping your day job will insure adequate income to meet your household and buy you enough time to get the business established. By keeping your current ties in the business world, you can attract them as customers to the new endeavor you wish to take.

MLM opportunities are waiting for your first chance to grab them. When choosing, remember that if something is too good to be true, it probably is.
Many companies sky-high dreams with little else. Keep your wits when looking at MLM opportunities and you will definitely land with your feet on the ground.

Network Marketing Through Social Media

Social networking can be a great tool for business builders, but it can also be easy to waste your time on things that really aren't going to help you in the long run. Here are a few thoughts to help make your social networking time count:

As you set up your Facebook and Twitter pages, the more information you can provide about yourself (while still maintaining your privacy), the better. Share your likes and dislikes. Even something as silly as a favorite movie or favorite kind of food can help you relate to other people and you start building relationships.

Become friends on Facebook (and likewise, followers on Twitter") with as many social networking sites as you can find. Get you name and business information out to the world of social media. Learn from other fellow networkers how to make your social networking experience a success.

Don't spend too much time (if any, really) playing games, taking quizzes, or the myriad of "time wasters" available on Facebook. People can see what you are doing, and if they see that you spend hours every day playing a game, chances are they won't see you as a serious potential business builder.

Don't constantly be trying to sell people on your business, or networking opportunity.. Get to know people first, and let them know what you are all about.

Share some of the wisdom you have gained about building your business. What has worked in the past for you? Sharing ideas with others gives you confidence and confidence drives you to become more successful in your venture. You will be surprised at the feedback you will receive.

When you find some valuable wisdom elsewhere on the internet that you think might be of value
to others, post a link to it and share your ideas on facebook and twitter.

Just like real-world networking, social networking is all about building relationships. When you make a new friend on Facebook or follow someone new on Twitter (or get a new follower to your feeds), read that person's information page.

When you understand more about a specific person, you're better able to provide the type of information and support that they need.

Expert Review From A Pro

How many are just plain old frustrated with your MLM networking business? I would suspect alot of people out there are. Everytime, you go on google to search programs that work, they all make promises, but how many are kept?? You purchase system after system and find nothing works for you so you purchase another on, hoping you find the right bullet and things will start to change. Competition is fierce, and unless you find the right way to market your business, you will fail miserably.

I found a system that works, and believe me I have tried networking for 3 years, and saw my bank account dwindle each and every month, until I found a system that is so simple to put into place. You are given a lead capture page, sales funnels, email marketing campaigns, and affiliate programs to download which puts money into your pocket, along with weekly webinars that give tremendous value. The best part is that it cost you $1.00 to purchase the entire system, and test drive it for 2 weeks, to see if it works for you. They do not make you an empty promise, they have back office training to get you started in such simple talk anyone can understand it, even for people who are not computer savvy.

The internet can be full of power for people who want to use it to generate leads for their business. It makes it much more pleasant when people start coming to you, and the chasing and humiliation stops. We all want to enjoy spending time working on our business, and if we get defeated with every marketing strategy, how fun is that?

The price is a measly $47 per month. Now from all the features you have read above, do you think it is worth the price? Not too mention, for every new member you enroll into the system and is active past the trial period you will earn a $15 recurring commission. Just three of these and you already cover your cost of membership. I have honestly seen other systems out there in the range of $150-300 per month that don't even offer half of what MLM Lead System Pro offers. The founders of the system had a goal, and that goal was to empower as many network marketers as possible to get closer to experiencing financial freedom. The system already has over 5,000 members. That should tell you something right there.

This article was not written to completely sell you on this system, but to let you know what is possible. If you are new or even been doing this for a while with minimal results it is time to get maximum results. I'm sure this brief article has provided you with enough information to make a decision.

7 Proven Internet Marketing Strategies to Increase Your Sales

In my last few blogs I have concentrated on the fundamentals of MLM marketing and getting leads to build your business. It does not come easy like most people would think. You just do not go out get a website slap some fancy art work on there, with some HTML and think your business will run on auto-pilot. It takes work AND comittment, and people are not willing to go the extra length to study all they can about their product or their MLM company to present the value needed to attract like minded networkers. and then go out and educate your their target market with the best knowledge they can. Knowledge is value, and the more valuable you are the better you become at being a networker.

Being a successful marketer is no different than when I first started to learn to tap dance It first starts with a desire, then a commitment and then a dedication. Anyone can be a network marketer or a dancer but, these elements must be there in order to be successful. I have a person affirmation I use with my network marketing business and you can use it too. "I Will Perserver Until I Succeed".

97% of all MLM marketers fail to produce leads in their first 90 days, thereby, quitting, before they even have a chance to become successful.

I began doing some more research into the strategies of MLM Lead Generation and I came up with this article I thought is worth mentioning. CLICK HERE:

I am constantly amazed by the number of people I meet on the web who have absolutely no marketing strategy whatsoever behind their site or online marketing.

I am even more amazed by the number of people who believe all they have to do is buy a domain, slap a few HTML pages together and place them on a web host somewhere. Then they expect everything else to just happen because their site or business is on the web!
It very rarely happens that way.

Creating an online business takes some planning and strategy if you want your site or business to succeed. You must have a plan of action, but most of all, you must have some fundamental marketing strategies behind your online site.

Now, I am speaking from experience here, because I also stumbled around on the web for 2 or 3 years like the people I described above. I foolishly thought just because I had a web site, I could do business on the web.

Well, not very much happened. I received very little traffic and very few sales. My site was going nowhere fast.

Fortunately, the theme I chose for my first site was Internet Marketing! I spent those first years studying all the online marketing material and information I could get my hands on. I gradually learned what to do and what not to do when it came to marketing online.

Mostly, I stumbled across some great Internet marketers like Marlon Sanders, Neil Shearing, Ken Evoy... true pioneers of online marketing. By studying those first class marketers and their marketing techniques I learned how it was all done.

Over time, I learned how to become very analytical with my sites and marketing. I started to create marketing strategies and put them into practice with my sites. This was all new to me because I have a background in education rather than marketing.

Now, I would like to share with you some of these marketing strategies and practices - just things I do and things I put into place which enable me to receive a modest but very comfortable online income.

So here are some things you can try:

1. Know Your Market Or Audience

First and foremost, you must know your market. Know who you will be targeting with your marketing? Know who will be buying your products or the affiliate products that you're promoting on the web?

I keep my eyes open for hot trends or products which everyone is buying. You can use programs like Google Trends to see which products are becoming hot. For example, in electronics, which products are on everyone's wish list? Is it laptops, PCs or netbooks? Are people buying smart phones, PDAs, Blu-ray Players or E-readers?

Just find out what products are hot? Find what products are being searched for in the search engines... do a check to see how many searches are made each month for your chosen product? Use WordTracker, or a free online site such as Seobook to see what products people are searching for on the web.

If there is a large demand/audience/market for your product or subject area, then you have a better chance of succeeding online. It is a simple marketing strategy that many first time marketers ignore - please don't. So choose your products to match the demand that is out there for them.

2. Buying Mindset

One of the key elements to selling stuff online is finding people at the exact moment they are ready to buy. What some marketers refer to as a "Buying Mindset". You find people who have their minds set on buying something when they reach your site.

This is much easier than you think!

A simple way I found to do this is to create sites which target keywords related to buying... such as gifts, coupons, bargains, deals and so on. For example, a site on wedding gifts will obviously attract customers who are interested in buying wedding gifts.

To give you a concrete example from my own site, I have a section on "Corporate Business Gifts" which offers special deals/coupons on corporate business gifts... someone searching for that phrase is more likely to purchase a gift. Just simple reasoning, but it works wonders for selling stuff online.

In the Info-Product market, many Gurus create a "Buying Mindset" by offering special bonuses and discounts if someone buys from their links. Another simple way to boost your sales.

3. Target Special Holidays

Along the same lines, I like targeting times when people feel obligated to buy. Using special holidays like Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day... in your marketing can be very effective.
There are occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, graduations... when people feel they must buy something for a loved one or special friend. Targeting those occasions with your marketing can be extremely effective... people are looking for a birthday gift, a graduation gift or a wedding gift - you simply help them find what they're looking for.

On one of my sites, I target the "Back To School" market which has proven very lucrative since I market high-ticket affiliate items such as laptops, PCs and netbooks.

4. Place All Your Emphasis On Supplying Information

The majority of people searching on the web are looking for information - first and foremost - even those who are ready to buy. They want information on the subject or product they're searching for on the web. It should be your marketing strategy to give them this information.

All of my sites are based on supplying information to my visitors.

If you give solid information they will be pleased and take note of your site and a few will buy the products you recommend, but the information must come first.

Even popular selling sites like Amazon give loads of consumer information and feedback while selling their products on the web. Consumers want information on the products they're buying. Supply this information and you will sell more products.

5. Target Long Tail Keyword Phrases In Your SEO

If you're selling stuff on the web, it is extremely important that you have a SEO marketing strategy. You must use the search engines to bring in those quality visitors and potential customers to your site. You must rank high in the search engines for your chosen keywords.

I have found SEO is not easy but it is also not that hard to do. In order to rank high you must be persistent, have a six month or yearly plan... work at it over time, even years to build up your rankings. Most webmasters won't have the patience or resources to stick to a long-term strategy for months, even years before they start ranking for popular, well-searched for keywords.

However, there's another quicker and faster way to get quality traffic from the search engines. Instead of targeting highly competitive popular keywords, you target longer keyword phrases that have little competition. For example, someone searching for a particular brand and model is more likely to buy then someone searching for a general topic. Someone searching for "cars" compared to someone searching for "2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT" - the last phrase will have very few searches but it can produce more targeted buyers.

6. Build Lists of Interested Buyers

One of my most effective marketing strategies is building simple lists of people who want to receive further information on the subject or product they're considering buying. The web is a very temporary process since most people spend less than a few seconds on most sites. So it is important that you try and get them to opt-in to your mailing list, join your Twitter account or FaceBook group... and so on.

You must build lists of people who are interested in finding out more about your subject or product. This way you will have repeat visitors to your site and you will get the opportunity to sell to them again and again. If you build a trusting relationship with these contacts, they will respect your opinions and suggestions.

List building can have a very positive effect on your sales numbers so it is one marketing strategy you should definitely try if you're not already using lists.

7. Sell Things You Can ONLY Buy Online

This marketing strategy is so simple - it's almost laughable. But I quickly found selling stuff that can only be bought online do much better than selling stuff that can be bought at your local Walmart. If buyers can only find it online, then you will have a much better chance of selling it to them.

Therefore, marketing unique products or specialty items, which are only available online can prove very lucrative. This is a very simple marketing strategy but also a very effective one. Just try it.

There are no doubt, countless other marketing strategies you can use. But using some or all of the ones listed above will help increase your online sales. Again, just try them and see for yourself.

MLM Network Marketing Rule #5 - Present Your Value Before You Present Your Business

We have heard it over and over, you must provide value so people can learn from you and trust you. People join people not businesses. If you educate network marketers on the best possible way to market their products and business they will be your friends forever. Network marketing is truly a difficult business to be in, unless you know the way to generate massive leads and share this knowledge with the networking community.

We are living in a difficult time right now. Jobs are hard to find, and if you do find one, you are only making the employer richer while you get more and more frustrated because, let's face it how much money are we putting away for our future? It appears as soon as you earn a weeks salary it vanishes before you can put anything away for retirement. Working from home provides us the luxury of comfort knowing the money we are making is the money that is going to help us retire.

This blog is the last in the series from my mentor Larry Beacham CLICK HERE:

Everybody, and I mean Everybody, judges according to appearances. You might try to fight this reality, but it's true and I'm going to prove it right now with a story.

I sat in my car at the ATM the other day, waiting for a young woman to finish her transaction. As I watched, I saw her pull a receipt from the machine, and upon looking at what was written, she made a face that showed disappointment. My first thought, "she has no money in her account."

From that thought came this next thought, "she should do a better job of managing her finances." So, I proceeded to the ATM for my transaction. I went through the motions of punching in my code, made my selection and waited. A few seconds later, out popped a receipt that said, "This machine is experiencing technical difficulties. Please visit another location. Sorry for the inconvenience."

From my original vantage point, I assumed incorrectly that the other person was out of money, but in reality, that was clearly not the case. I judged the situation based upon what I saw without having all the information to draw a correct conclusion.

So, what does this have to do with presenting your value? If you cannot effectively show your prospect that you are capable of leading them to get whatever it is that they are after, it doesn't matter how great the product is, the comp plan, your company's history, etc. They Will Judge You And Walk Away.

This is the #1 reason why emails that start off with "Brilliant comp plan, best in the industry!" or "Get in EARLY before everyone else finds out and make big money!" don't work. It all sounds the same to your prospect and you have been ineffective in proving your value.

Before you bother with trying to convince your prospect how great your company/product/comp plan is, why not take the approach of solidifying in their mind how you help others achieve success? For example:

- How your marketing approach produces leads so they don't have to chase friends/family
- How your team dominates your current market
- Testimonies of people you've directly worked with and how they see you as a leader
- Producing documentation of your past success working with people with limited time/money

It's all about value. If you're having a hard time recruiting people in your downline, maybe it's because you're too focused on the wrong thing. Do you know everyone's favorite radio station? It's WII FM, which stands for, "What's In It For Me?" You may THINK it's the comp plan, company, product, etc., but in reality it's YOU. It's always been YOU. It always will be YOU.

Seek first to build up your value to your prospects, and all the other things will come much easier - especially recruiting new business partners.

Using the 6 Elements of Infomercial Marketing To Find Leads

Were you ever to clued to an informercial, that by the time it was over, you found yourself buying what they were trying to sell? Why is this form of advertising so effective. Please read to find out.

Developing an intimate knowledge of your target market is crucial to your success in MLM/Network Marketing. In order to reach the most number of qualified people, you must understand what they're looking for in great detail, and position it in front of them regularly.

Just the other day, I saw an infomercial for a popular fitness program. It wasn't my first time; as a matter of fact, I actually own this product. However I decided to sit and watch the program again to identify what it was that caused me to purchase this product. There are some very interesting things that I discovered that relate to building a successful MLM/Network Marketing business and I want to share them with you.

Did you know that there is a definitive psychology behind developing an infomercial? From beginning to end, each scene, the words they say, and the flow of the content are all designed to push the buttons of the target audience that they are trying to attract. Infomercials are successful because they follow a distinct pattern. Here are the basic components of an infomercial:

1. Identifying and pressing on the "pain" (i.e. overweight, lack knowledge, etc.)

2. Discuss what you've tried in the past and why "this one" is different and why it will work this time

3. Testimonies of successful customers (usually at least 3 varying in age, race, and talking about their "unique" situation)

4. Call to action ("call 1-800...")

5. Special bonuses ("if you order today, you'll also receive...")

6. The "takeaway" ("limited time offer," "while supplies last," "call before (TIME)"

Billions of dollars are generated each year in the sale of products using this process. Before you dismiss this information because you have never bought from an informercial, remember that they are after a very specific target market, and if that target market sees it enough, they will buy. MLM/Network marketers are at a disadvantage because they don't understand targetmarketing, or how to position their products/services/opportunity correctly to the marketplace. This is exactly why prospecting doesn't work for so many people in that there is no established target, or marketing system set up to attract the right people.

Infomercials aren't looking for just anybody because that would be a waste of resources. The ads are very specific as to whom they are targeting, and they don't leave room for anything else.
If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten. It may be time for a change. Don't pass up a great opportunity for growth today for the sake of what you've been used to.

MLM-Network Marketing Rule #3 - Be Prepared by Having a Pre-planned Response to FAQ's

Let's face it, we all want to make money like an Md, whether it be a specialist or a surgeon. In reality how many of us want to prepare for it? We need to prepare properly, have goals set, and approach each goal everyday until we perserver and succeed. You cannot sit back without working and put your network marketing company on autopilot until you have established a plan that works for you. You must work that plan everyday until you start seeing results. The more established you become the more productive you are. Then and only then can you take a day off every now and then. If you worked for am employer would you sit back and watch the work get done? Of course not.

My wife spent three years serving our country as a soldier in the Marine Core. She told me that she was taught to live by what they call the 6 "P's" which is "Prior Planning Prevents a Piss-Poor Performance." This motto has a lot of wisdom and truth in it, and MLM/Network Marketers would do well to think of their business in this light.

So often I hear MLM/Network Marketers struggle with answering some of the most common questions that a prospect will ask, as if it's their first time hearing that question! At the top of the list is the question, "What do you do" or "What is it?" Normally, the poor MLM/Network marketer gives an answer that is evasive, or just poorly communicated.

I'm an advocate of having a prepared answer, rather than going off the top of my head. So, I use a formula that allows me to respond with clarity, while at the same time compelling the person to want more information (assuming they are a real prospect).

Whenever someone asks you "What do you do" or "What is it?" Here's how you respond. "Well, do you know how (FILL IN THE BLANK)...? Well, what I do is (FILL IN THE BLANK).
EXAMPLE: Prospect: "Larry, what do you do (for a living)?"

ME: "Well, do you know how (most MLM/Network marketers prospect or chase friends and family, cold call strangers, or buy leads to build their business?)"

Prospect: "Yes."

ME: "Well, What I do is (teach them how to get more leads and more money with what I call a "no prospecting" system. Most network marketers hate prospecting, so they get excited to learn a better way and I'm always glad to show them.)"

If this prospect is a MLM/Network marketer, and they've gone through the pain and suffering of prospecting, this is EXTREMELY attractive to them and piques their interest. When you build your response and the prospect can feel your "pain," they'll let you know, and you officially have yourself a pre-qualified prospect.

Sit down with a sheet of paper and put this formula into practice with your business. Once you've come up with a comfortable flow to the "Do you know how/what I do is" formula, practice it until you have it down.

You don't have to follow up with any questions after you say this. If they are interested, they'll let you know; if not don't force it. Remember, prospecting hurts; marketing helps. This is a marketing technique that works wonders for your posture and confidence.
Give it a try and let me know how it works out for you.

MLM - Network Marketing Success Tip #2 - Set Your Goals, Take Action and Track Everything

All new networkers find themselves feeling frustrated when they work everyday diligently, and they do not find themselves having any success at all. We all want things to come our way, especially when we work hard and at the end of the day, week or even the month, we find it just does not seem to pay off. Believe me we have all been there. You are left feeling frustrated and ready to quit. Not so fast says my mentor Larry Beacham. We cannot expect to become a internet sensation over nite, nor should we expect our bank account to triple in the first few months of building a business. Sometimes, it takes months to see results, but please do not give up, one day you will wake up and things will definately start to happen.

One of my contacts on Facebook asked me to help them to identify why their best efforts seem to be producing very little results. He was quite frustrated and ready to throw in the towel by the time he reached out to me.

He is new to MLM/Network Marketing, and felt as though he was doing everything that he was told to do to get results. He thought that either he was being lied to by his support team (or he wasn't), or he simply wasn't cut out for this industry (also not true).

So, in the course of our conversation, I was able to identify exactly what was wrong with his efforts, and after I explained where his "holes" were, he was elated to find out that all he had to do was make a few adjustments to his activities and his mental state of mind.

Take a look at these 3 things that I found that he was doing wrong and make sure that you don't fall into these traps:

1. Unrealistic expectations of success - He thought that he would be an "overnight sensation" because he's heard stories of how people make tons of money in what seems like a very short period of time. This is NOT typical of ANY business, contrary to all the hype. Building a business is like planting a seed in the ground; you can't plant the seed and then stand over it demanding that it produce. It has to take root, and you have to provide the nourishment and care to make sure it doesn't die in the ground. It's not productive to have the get-rich-quick mindset; it takes TIME to build a successful business, and there's nothing you can do about that but develop patience and the right habits.

2. Sporadic activity - He had not developed a calendar of planned activities for his business. He just did whatever he could with whatever free time he could come up with. That's totally unprofessional. Developing "office hours" is crucial to building consistency, and that can't be taken lightly. He planted the "seed," now he needed to organize a regularly scheduled "watering." If over the course of a week you only have 7-10 yours available, that needs to be a deliberate, targeted, pre-planned, and non-negotiable time towards building your business. Don't make excuses because, if this were your job, you wouldn't make excuses; or you would be unemployed. Clock in, do what you have to do, and clock out.

3. No tracking - He wasn't keeping track on phone calls, appointments, emails, etc. No company that is interested in real sustainable success makes this mistake. Keeping "stats" is central to being able to identify where your strengths and weaknesses are. Most people haven't figured out what their ratios are. Take a look at this following ration: 194:13. This is my stat for leads:conversions over the last 30 days. I know that for ever 14 leads I get through my marketing (I don't prospect) I'll convert 1 to a business partner. My goal is to improve my stats by tracking everything from articles (like this one), emails, videos, phone calls, etc. It doesn't have to be a mystery as to what it takes to get your business to the next level. "Keeping score" is what you need in order to find out.

Just because you're building your business part-time doesn't mean that you're excused from being a professional. Take a second look at your commitments to make sure that you're not fooling yourself and organize yourself for success.

Focusing on the Wrong Type of Duplication Is a Formula For Failure in Network Marketing

Everyone in the network marketing industry has heard of the term "duplication". We have been told over and over again the key to success is all in duplication. We do the same thing, buy a list, contact people, and get them interested in the product or the opportunity. According to this next blog that type of duplication will only lead to failure.

If it is your goal to earn a six-figure income in MLM/Network Marketing, then the first step is to forget everything you've learned so far about duplication. It's holding you back and I'm going to show you why that is.

The term "duplication" is one that you'll hear quite frequently in MLM/Network Marketing, and it is used to define the act of an upline sponsor teaching and training a downline individual the steps to success.

Typically those steps are writing out a prospect list, contacting/inviting friends and family members to look at the opportunity, and follow through to get a distributor or customer. Sound familiar? As a matter of fact, it is drilled into your brain that you have to duplicate yourself in other people in order to succeed and to obtain the coveted "walk-away" income (a.k.a. residual income).

This is the driving force behind the whole idea of building a downline in the first place. I'm here to tell you, there is a fatal flaw in this mindset, and I want to expose you to how the top 3% of income earners go about "duplicating" the steps to success in network marketing. I want to challenge you to compare this to what you're currently doing and make a determination whether you're on the path to financial freedom or not.

"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all duplication is NOT created equal."

The champions of network marketing are experts when it comes to things such as marketing, copywriting, promotion, branding, and of course recruiting. They invest huge sums of money and time in order to obtain and master this content, and in turn use it to attract massive amounts of leads.

They don't concern themselves with worrying about whether every person in their organization "duplicates" what they do. Rather, they are only looking for people who are after the type of success that only comes from a commitment to personal development and strong leadership.

Basically, the real duplication that they are after is someone willing to run as hard as they do; someone willing to invest in what it takes to enroll at a high level and get massive success quickly.

Case in point: I recently listened to a one hour video interview with a guy by the name of Mark Weiser, who is best known for his ability to enroll over 20 new distributors every month (impressive, right?). He explained his process of sifting through tons of people just to find a handful who really wanted to run hard TODAY and that was all he worked with.

He went on to say that he didn't enroll everyone that had the money to get involved. He was very selective in choosing who he would work with, and still enrolled 20 people every month! He made it perfectly clear that duplication was the LAST thing on his mind. He knew that if he found the right people, they would do what it took to succeed with or without him, and that was the only duplication that really mattered.

Highly successful people in any walk of life get there by going the opposite way of the crowd, and it's no mystery why only a tiny percent of people ever reach the top. The only duplication that matters is SUCCESS. Focusing on your personal development and leadership, followed by attracting and working with other "3 percenters" is the only duplication worth, well, duplicating.

The Reason Why People Get Involved in MLM & Network Marketing One Day and Quit the Next

Do you find yourself stuck in the so-called rut of network marketing? You find people who are interested in your business, they make an attempt to get out and just talk to people, without regard to whom they are talking, or what they are talking about.

I know myself included, I am involved with a MLM and was finding it difficult to recruit the right kind of people. My upline has a conference call every month and we are told the same thing, over and over, go to your local retailers, and talk to as many employees as you can and get them interested in our opportunity. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong. Just because you speak to clerks, waitresses, you are not going to attract the people who will take you to new levels within your network marketing business. These people are used to going to work everyday, and receiving a paycheck at the end of the week. They do not know what a home based business is, how to be successful, nor do they want to. Why? Because they are scared to death to work from home and be completely without that incoming salary every week.

MLM/Network Marketing Rule #8: Be careful not to emotionally invest in people who are doing little more than talking, because once they quit you will feel as though you've failed them, when in reality they've failed themselves.

I can remember the first time that I ever felt the sting of someone, who I really believed in, walking away from their business. This couple had everything it took to succeed except for one very vital attribute - commitment.

Once the tough times came, they couldn't withstand the feeling of failure, so they began to fade away until one day the just "rode off into the sunset." My wife and I questioned whether or not we had been there for them enough to offer the level of support that they needed, and other such questions of ourselves. In the end, we realized that it really was their choice to win or lose no matter what we did. I learned a very hard lesson that day about what I now call the "Buying vs. Applying Phenomena."

The "Buying vs. Applying Phenomena" happens every day to lots of people, and maybe you have suffered from this phenomena at some time in your life, so let me explain what it is.

Have you ever noticed that fitness centers never stop taking new members, even though they have limited space to accommodate everyone? Have you ever watched an infomercial on something and bought that product, only to have it collect dust in the corner of your closet? If this sounds familiar, then you were a victim of this phenomena.

See, we all love the sensation of "buying" a solution; somehow, we think that just because we made the "commitment" to buy the solution, it would magically eliminate the problem it was intended to solve WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL WORK NEEDED. What a "psych job" we do on ourselves! Millions of dollars are spent every day on the latest cure for weight, health, pain, finances, etc., and the sad part is, those are hard earned dollars leaving our hands just so we can feel the comfort of buying a solution that will never work - unless we apply it!

When you enroll a new distributor, be aware that it is more than a possibility that the "buying vs. applying phenomena" is in operation with this individual/couple, which is exactly why you should never use hype to attract people to your business! For this very reason, you cannot afford to invest emotionally into them until they have APPLIED the solution consistently, persistently, and until a result occurs.

Without a proper flow of leads into your email, website, or voice mail, you'll tend to covet everyone too closely (i.e. scarcity mentality). Building your business successfully means being aware that you're only looking for "appliers" and not just "buyers." 2-5 out of every 100 truly qualified leads will ever measure up to be "appliers," which normally doesn't include a single family member or friend.

How would you like to enroll 5 "appliers" every month in your business? Your future success is too important to waste time, money, and resources on the wrong people, wouldn't you agree?
