In the world of Network Marketing, it has been well documented that there is a great amount of failure that falls upon nearly everyone who innocently enters this industry to pursue their dreams of financial freedom.
So, what's the problem? Here are 10 plagues that the average network marketer suffers from and what to do to combat these plagues:
PLAGUE #1: Lack Of Quality, Pre-Interested Leads - the fatal flaw is talking to the general public and our warm market (i.e. friends and family). Developing a system to lure only those who are looking for a network marketing opportunity is the best solution to this problem.
PLAGUE #2: Lack Of Money - The average network marketer makes about $10/week. Cashflow generated from the sale of funded proposals creates immediate cash and solves this problem usually within 30 days of implementation, sometimes sooner.
PLAGUE #3: Lack Of Marketing Training - Are you network networking or network MARKETING? Prospecting is not marketing. Building a marketing system using web 2.0 strategies (i.e. social media, videos, blogs, capture pages, etc.) provide leverage to attract your true target audience.
PLAGUE #4: Lack Of Duplication - Only 10-15% of people possess a "Prospecting" personality (i.e. they can handle high amounts of rejection). In order to duplicate genuine success and growth, you must teach a marketing strategy that eliminates personalities and works for 100% of the people.
PLAGUE #5: Lack Of Staying Power - The expiration date on the average network marketer is 63 days. The high quit-rate is directly related to making little or no money in the first couple of months. So the use of a funded proposal as mentioned earlier will anchor any new reps because it produces immediate cashflow.
PLAGUE #6: No Time Leverage - Most network marketers use 100% of their own time to locate, qualify, present, and convert their leads, which causes them to feel as if their business owns them. You can eliminate up to 85% of this effort by implementing an automated lead generation and follow up system.
PLAGUE #7: No Personal Branding - Establishing your uniqueness is the only real competitive advantage that you have. There are several hundred thousand potential people in your particular network marketing opportunity, but only one YOU. Brand YOU, not your company, and you'll become instantly magnetic and stand out from the crowd.
PLAGUE #8: Resistance To Change - The #1 reason that dinosaurs are extinct today is because of their inability to adapt to a changing environment. Eliminate using 20th Century tactics on the 21st Century consumer.
PLAGUE #9: Broken Focus - Attempting to build multiple network marketing opportunities is gaining in popularity, but contributes to the poor success rate. In order to generate enough heat with a magnifying glass, you have to hold it steady; which means you have to focus on ONE spot long enough to get it to catch fire. Trim down to one business and stick to it until it produces a fire.
PLAGUE #10: Get Rich Quick Mentality - Getting rich quickly in ANY business is quite rare, and network marketing is no different. Settling down into an organized effort of time management, goals, objectives, action steps, and implementation over time is the way to riches, but it doesn't happen overnight. Getting rid of this mentality will serve you better in the long run.
When I embraced the solutions to the above plagues, my business finally began to yield some extraordinary fruit.
